We are reaching out to those that have been amplifying our voices in these state, federal, or immigration jails and prisons, and to allies that uplifted the national prison strike demands in 2018. We call on you again to organize the communities from August 21st - September 9th, 2020, by hosting actions, events, and demonstrations that call for prisoner human rights and the end to prison slavery.

September 9th will mark the 48th anniversary of the Attica uprising, the 3 year anniversary of the 2016 National Prison strike, and the end date [August 21st – September 9th] of the 2018 National Prison Strike.
The 2018 Prison Strike presented a set of 10 National Prison Strike Demands.

Over the last several days, Jailhouse Lawyers Speak (JLS) has had numerous conversations. The JLS mailbox has been packed with correspondence from prisoners around the nation. As prisoners, it's clear we are all on the same page. So are the prisoncrats overseeing the prison-industrial slave complex.
Prison Strikers Issue Statement: "ABOLISH ICE!"
Solidarity with those detained (children, women, and men) by immigration and Customs Enforcement and the families you are forcibly kept from. You are held in those for profit gulags, whose aims are to maintain a rotten nationalist- racist- capitalistic social order. The August 21st National Prison Strike called for strikes and boycotts in and against those so called immigration detentions for a reason, to acknowledge for the world that our struggles are not separate.
